Adam Luysterborghs is one of two Founding Partners of Avant Capital. He is responsible for corporate development, investment origination, capital formation and leads the firm’s Investment Committee. Previously, Mr. Luysterborghs was a Director at a national CMBS and bridge lender, where he originated bridge loans for a $3 billion multi-strategy hedge fund. Mr. Luysterborghs received a bachelor’s degree in economic theory from The American University in Washington, D.C. and was an enlisted soldier in the US Army Reserves.
Bernard Wolff joined Avant in 2018 as a consultant and underwrites and structures bridge loans and subordinate financing for Avant. Mr. Wolff is an experienced real estate professional who has extensive experience in real estate acquisition, construction and mezzanine debt and equity finance. He has worked for mid-sized and large real estate development companies. More recently Mr. Wolff has been consulting with family offices and for Avant where he has been sourcing and underwriting commercial real estate investment opportunities and underwriting and structuring commercial real estate loans. Mr. Wolff has excelled at directly identifying US-based and international capital sources for real estate transactions including high-profile real estate projects in New York. Other prior work experience includes special situation financing and merchant banking. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from American University and a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University.
Amy Cheng Park is a co-founder and Partner responsible for underwriting, due diligence and managing loan closings. She also supervises Avant’s loan servicing activities. Ms. Park has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate. Prior to joining Avant, Ms. Park was a Senior Underwriter at a national CMBS and bridge lender, where she was responsible for managing the underwriting, processing and closing of mortgage loans. She began her career as an Analyst at the David Cronheim Mortgage Company. Ms. Park was responsible for underwriting new loans, performing site evaluations, conducting due diligence and servicing the company’s network of correspondent relationships. Ms. Park graduated from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance and a minor in Chinese Language studies.
Thea Leitman joined Avant in 2020 and is responsible for loan servicing, asset management, surveillance, investor reporting, and accounting. Prior to joining Avant, Thea was an Analyst at Chicago Title Insurance Company, specializing in accounting and funding operations for commercial real estate transactions. Thea has both a Bachelor’s Degree and MBA in Finance from Iona College and a Master of Science in Real Estate from Baruch College.
